In addition to the sporting facilities, Dubai Sports City will having all of the residential and commercial developments expected in a purpose-built city, including international schools, superb medical facilities, hotels, leisure opportunities and a well-being and lifestyle country club, the Next Generation Club. The main shopping destination at Dubai Sports City will be a sports-themed retail mall with a leasing capacity of about 1.2 million square feet. This mall will be complimented by a multitude of shops, markets, retail plazas and boutiques.

The first period of Dubai Sports City includes the golf course, sports academies and other facilities, as well as the opening phase of the Victory Heights residential community will be completed by the end of 2007, with the entire development set for completion by 2010.

The Arena Mall offers about 1.4 million sq ft of leasing space over 2 floors, the largest retail destination within Dubai Sports City. Here some 230 retail outlets, the mall’s various retail mix will provide an attractive combination of speciality stores, everyday shopping outlets, and unique sporting and lifestyle products. There will also be an inclusive range of fast food outlets and family entertainment venues as well as a multi-screen cinema complex and an entertainment zone with a sporting theme. Retail leasing has now began for the Arena Mall.

Dubai Sports City’s at North Point is the retail and commercial center, will provide visitors with an appealing combination of upscale casual dining and boutique shopping. Spectacular views of the waterfront promenade, outdoor seating and a Riviera-style atmosphere will add to its desirability. Located at the northern end of Dubai Sports City’s central waterway, at the heart of a vivacious downtown district, the venue will offer just about 210,000 sq ft of leasing space across 92 units.

Dubai Sports City at South Point second retail and commercial center, will offer a finest dining and shopping experience. Located near the most hunted Victory Heights golf course villa community, and anchored by Dubai Sports City’s boutique hotel, South Point will offer a range of high-end luxury goods, boutique shops, and first-class restaurants. Retail leasing for South Point is schedule to open at a later date.
