Dubai eGovernment operates in harmony and integration with all the departments and entities that come under the eGovernment umbrella in Dubai. The accomplishments made since the launch of the eGovernment project in 2001 are the result of joint efforts by all Government Departments.
Dubai eGovernment offers many core services, but its primary services are through its official public portal: dubai.ae, which integrates the eServices of all Dubai government departments. Other core services of Dubai eGovernment include ePay, eLearn, eHost, AskDubai and its mobile services through the mobile portal and mDubai. Dubai eGovernment also has a corporate website, which details its initial start and present accomplishments.

2. Who was responsible for the creation of Dubai eGovernment? The concept of Dubai eGovernment was announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai in early 2000 and the formal launch was on 29th October 2001.
After the announcement a high-level Executive Team was formed, led by HE Sheikha Lubna Al Qassimi. The team was instructed to build an eStrategy for the departments of the Dubai Government including eGovernment infrastructure and vital eServices, leading to start of eGovernment with the launch of the public portal www.dubai.ae
3. What are some significant milestones in the development of Dubai eGovernment? 2001 Launches
* Dubai.ae launched with 14 eServices in October 2001. * By June 2003, it had reached 600 eServices. * In 2007 it currently has 2,300 eServices. * Data Centre at Dubai Internet City in November 2001.

eLibrary is a core service that is centralizing all government departments’ libraries and acts as a unified channel through which one can search for publications and documents through the databases of the contributing departments. It provides a reference point for the researchers. The service consists of three main functions: acquisition, circulation and cataloguing.

“The official magazine of Dubai eGovernment”, it’s a monthly magazine highlighting the happenings in UAE’s e-government.
