Emaar Properties has said its second-quarter profit has more than doubled, beating analysts’ estimates, as a one-time impairment charge was not repeated and it cut costs, Bloomberg has reported. Net income climbed to Dhs614m ($167m) from Dhs250m a year earlier, the company said. Analysts estimated net profit by the builder of the world’s tallest building to reach Dhs545m.
