Bur Dubai is a historic district in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is located on the western side of the Dubai Creek. The name of area is literary translated to Mainland Dubai, for it is the reference to the traditional separation of the Bur Dubai area with the modern and high tech areas such as the Creek and Jumeirah.
The district Bur Dubai is a hub of many mosques including the Grand Mosque along with the tallest minaret in the emirate and the blue tiled Iranian Mosque as well. There is also an Hindu Temple which is also located within the area and is situated right between the Grand Mosque and Creek.
Bur Dubai is a mixed use location for both residential and commercial properties. It is also the home to some popular tourist attractions such as the renovated historic buildings and museums. It is also filled with shopping streets or souks and packed with varieties of restaurants that offer numerous choices of taste and cuisine.
