Al Satwa is also a considered as one of the bustling areas in Dubai. It comprises of high-density retail outlets and private residential properties. It is primarily located Southwest of Bur Dubai and adjacent to Sheikh Zayed Road. In addition, it is known for its large South Asian Community.
Within the area, there are rows of shops and pavement cafes. So it is a fun place for you to visit for shopping and dining. In fact, in Diyafah which is the main street, you can wander up and down the broad palm lined street checking out the high street bargains and inexpensive restaurants and cafes.
The other main road is Al Satwa road which is lined with shops selling textiles and household goods. This shopping district is also famous or its several tailoring shops where dresses, trouser tops and suits can be stitched in a couple of days.
Lastly, this area is also called as the ‘plant street.’ As the name suggests, this road has a range of shops selling plants, plant food, garden materials and garden accessories. A strange bedfellow to these shops are art shops! Here you can buy original paintings, drawings and prints.
